Guvera’s Global Growth Showing No Sign Of Slowing

Founded in 2008 by Swedish born Australian technology entrepreneur and designer Claes Loberg and current CEO and Chairman Darren Herft, Guvera has been growing in leaps and bounds, and MitchelLake are pleased to be working closely with this progressive startup. Having been named as “Best StartUp” and “Best Music App” of the year in 2013, they had a strong 2014 by signing a global distribution agreement with the world’s largest PC and fastest-growing smartphone company Lenovo.

Available in over 20 countries, with more being added each month, Guvera has unlimited access to millions of songs from the world’s biggest artists, with content delivered via on-demand streaming across multiple platforms.

Led out of our Queensland office, MitchelLake has delivered approximately 30 successful engagements for Guvera since early 2013 across leadership, engineering, product and design. Some of these roles have included:

In March 2013 when we were working on the CTO role, Guvera had approximately 500K users, and this has grown to exceed 13mill users globally, an incredible milestone over 24 months. Through significant technology achievements and delivering exceptional UI/UX strategies, the usability ease is demonstrated through the large uptake of global users on the Guvera platform. The company has set targets to grow its current customer base to over 50m during the next six months, with emerging markets including Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Vietnam, Russia and Brazil central to hitting those objectives.

This year, Guvera announced its exclusive music streaming partner for the current season for Nine Network’s The Voice, allowing fans to listen to their favourite performances for free as soon as nightly shows have aired.
